The MV Agusta Idealavoro Forward Racing team leaves Argentina.
The MV Agusta Idealavoro Forward Racing team leaves Argentina with a sour taste, but with a great desire to redeem itself.
The MV Augusta Idealavoro Forward Racing Team is back today on the hot track of Termas de Río Hondo (Argentina), for the second round of the 2019 season. After having considerably reduced the gap with the leading group during the two days of free practice and qualifying, the team has been able to collect even more data in view of the race in Texas.
Dominique Aegerter, who started from the seventh row, managed a comeback race that saw him recover 7 positions, reaching the 13th place and being in the points area. A crash at two corners from the end has unfortunately ruined his race to the crown of the important result. He resumed the race and managed to move into 20th position under the checkered flag
Stefano Manzi, who started from the eighth row, after a warm-up that took him just 9 tenths from the top, managed to make a good start in the race, which allowed him to gain 5 positions before crashing due to a contact with another rider, after a braking at the limit. At the medical center, the doctor detected an infraction of the distal radius of the right wrist without apparent fractures. Depending on the pain of the next few days, Manzi may have to be subjected to further examination.
Despite the final result the team is positive. The race of Dominique and the entire job made during the weekend, have proved that the direction taken is the right one. The riders and the team are already looking forward to the next round of the Moto2 World Championship in Texas (United States) on the weekend of 12, 13 and 14 April.
